The Laurie Beechman Theatre, located within The West Bank Café (407 West 42nd St.), is pleased to continue "The After Party," an informal midtown schmoozefest for the theatrically inclined. Every Friday from 10:30PM-2AM, join hosts Brandon Cutrell (MAC & Bistro Award winner, BrandonCutrell.com) and Alysha Umphress (XL Star), Ray Felmman (Captain Louie) at the piano and Lisa Asher (Nightlife Award Winner) for this weekly party in the theatre district. There is no cover charge for this event. Come and sing yourself as the mic is always open, or sit back and enjoy a cocktail with friends. Located just blocks from the Great White Way, you never know who might drop in. 

Friday, September 28, "The After Party" welcomes OBIE Award Winner Donna Lynne Champlin and Moeisha McGill.  Both will be on hand to greet fans and perform a few numbers as only they can.

Since playing 'Pirelli" (and the accordion, flute and piano) in the ground-breaking Broadway production of Sweeney Todd, actress, singer, musician, stand-up comedienne and writer Donna Lynne Champlin was given the highly respected OBIE award for her performance of "Cora Flood' in The Transport Group's production of William Inge's The Dark At The Top of the Stairs. She was also was awarded the 'Outstanding Performance' award for her portrayal of 'Gracie' in the NYMF's production of Flight Of The Lawnchair Man.  Champlin's leading roles on Broadway include James Joyce's The Dead, By Jeeves and Hollywood Arms. Other NY credits: First Lady Suite, My Life With Albertine, The Audience, Reunion, Master Class (at the Broadhurst for the MET), City Center Encores! Bloomer Girl, and Carnegie Hall's Very Warm For May and numerous cast albums and CD recordings Her critically acclaimed show "Finishing The Hat" returns to Birdland by popular demand Sunday, September 30 at 7PM. Moeisha McGill was last seen as the Joanne/MiMi cover in the Broadway production of Rent. Other Broadway credits include Mamma Mia! Regionally, Moeisha has been seen in Footloose (Rusty), Baby (Lizzie) at Papermill Playhouse, Little Shop of Horrors (Chiffon), Jesus Christ Superstar, and Bagdad Café (France).

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located downstairs, within The West Bank Café, 407 West 42nd St. at 9th Avenue.   There is a full bar and bar menu available, and reservations are not necessary for this event.  "The After Party" highly recommends audience members arrive early.  Seating is first come, first serve.  Priority seating may be given to those who wish to order from the menu and/or the bar.
