Casting Announced for First Week of SPF Plays, 7/5-7/9

Summer Play Festival (SPF) provides 15 emerging playwrights a chance to present their work at Theatre Row throughout July. Three plays will be performed on Theatre Row (410 W 42nd St.) during the first week (July 5th through July 9th) of the festival: Millicent Scowlworthy by Rob Handel (at the Beckett Theatre); Splitting Infinity by Jamie Pachino (at the Clurman Theatre); and, The Squirrel by Alex Moggridge (at The Kirk Theatre).
Week One Schedule:Wednesday July 5th:6:30pm- The Squirrel by Alex Moggridge, directed by Patrick McNulty, "is a black comedy that follows a woman and her oversensitive husband, overbearing sister, and a man she just hit with her car (at the Kirk Theatre." The cast includes: Rachel Black*, Jed Orlemann*, Jeff Galfer*, Rebecca Wisocky*7:00pm- Millicent Scowlworthy by Rob Handel, directed by Ken Rus Schmoll, "is a 'ripped from the headlines' story that finds teenagers reenacting a murder that took place in their community (at the Beckett Theatre)." The cast includes: Maria Dizzia*, Hannah Cabell*, Megan Hart, Laurabeth Greenwald, Emily Sophia Knapp*, Dan McCabe*, Debargo Sanyal*, Joe Curnutte, Gregory Keller*, Jonathan Monk*, John Summerour*, Alexis Camins*7:30pm- Splitting Infinity by Jamie Pachino, directed by Matt Shakman, "is an explosive poignant drama about a Rabbi and his old friend, an astrophysicist, who wants to prove that God does not exist (at the Clurman Theatre)." The cast includes: Michael Rupert*, Ann Dowd*, Greg Wooddell*, Samantha Soule*, Paul Kropfl*, Priscilla Shanks*
