President & Executive Producer Wally Jones recently announced the production schedule for Casa Mañana’s 2009 Summer Broadway at the Bass Season.  

The Summer Season is a great mix of classic hits and brand new debuts. The season kicks off with Always…Patsy Cline, produced by Casa Mañana. Hear the music and recall The Life of one of the greatest country singers, June 2 – 7, 2009 at Casa Mañana Theatre. This iconic singer is followed by another icon when Dame Edna comes to the Bass Performance Hall in Dame Edna – My First Last Tour, June 23 – 28, 2009. Don’t miss out on one of the longest-running off-Broadway shows of all time when Little Shop of Horrors, produced by Casa Mañana, makes its debut at Bass Performance Hall, July 7 – 12, 2009. Come see what all the buzz is about in the brand new Broadway National Tour of Legally Blonde The Musical at Bass Performance Hall, August 4 – 9, 2009. Wrap up the summer with the new production of Grease, direct from Broadway. Grease plays the Bass Performance Hall, September 1 – 6, 2009. 

Start the Summer Season off with the legacy that is Patsy Cline. Based upon a true story, discover the friendship between the legendary country music queen and her biggest fan. The performance schedule is: Tuesday, June 2 at 7:30pm; Wednesday, June 3 at 7:30pm; Thursday, June 4 at 7:30pm; Friday, June 5 at 8:00pm; Saturday, June 6 at 2:00 & 8:00pm; and Sunday, June 7 at 2:00 & 7:00pm. This show is produced by Casa Mañana and is suitable for all audiences. 

In June, Casa Mañana welcomes Dame Edna in Dame Edna – My First Last Tour. Dame Edna Everage, the international housewife, therapist, gigastar, guru and celebrity confidant is currently crafting her latest, exciting entertainment strategies on her private estate in her native Australia.

The performance schedule is: Tuesday, June 23 at 7:30pm; Wednesday, June 24 at 7:30pm; Thursday, June 25 at 7:30pm; Friday, June 26 at 8:00pm; Saturday, June 27 at 2:00 & 8:00pm; and Sunday, June 28 at 2:00 & 7:00pm. This show is an add-on to the Summer At The Bass Season. The show is suitable for most audiences. Sexual humor and innuendo. Parental discretion is advised.

In July, a down-and-out, skid row floral assistant becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood. One of the longest-running off-Broadway shows of all time, Little Shop of Horrors, never fails to entertain. The performance schedule is: Tuesday, July 7 at 7:30pm; Wednesday, July 8 at 7:30pm; Thursday, July 9 at 7:30pm; Friday, July 10 at 8:00pm; Saturday, July 11 at 2:00 & 8:00pm; and Sunday, July 12 at 2:00 & 7:00pm. It's here, and it's "An Elle of a show" (TIME Magazine). The hilarious MGM film is Broadway’s newest smash-hit musical, and now Legally Blonde The Musical is coming to you. Legally Blonde follows sorority star Elle Woods, an underestimated blonde who doesn't take "no" for an answer. When her boyfriend dumps her for someone more "serious," Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and sets out to go where no Delta Nu has gone before: Harvard Law. The performance schedule is: Tuesday, August 4 at 7:30pm; Wednesday, August 5 at 7:30pm; Thursday, August 6 at 7:30pm; Friday, August 7 at 8:00pm; Saturday, August 8 at 2:00 & 8:00pm; and Sunday, August 9 at 2:00 & 7:00pm. This show is a Broadway national touring production presented by Casa Mañana, and is suitable for most audiences. Parental discretion is advised.

The Summer at the Bass Season wraps up with a classic favorite. It’s the one that you want…and it’s back! Grease, Time Magazine’s 2007 pick for “#1 musical of the year,” is rockin’ across the country in this new production direct from Broadway. The performance schedule is: Tuesday, September 1 at 7:30pm; Wednesday, September 2 at 7:30pm; Thursday, September 3 at 7:30pm; Friday, September 4 at 8:00pm; Saturday, September 5 at 2:00 & 8:00pm; and Sunday, September 6 at 2:00 & 7:00pm. This show is a Broadway national touring production presented by Casa Mañana, and is suitable for most audiences. Parental discretion is advised.
