Camp Broadway Launches Camp Broadway Chorus 8/23-24
Camp Broadway® is launching the Camp Broadway Chorus, an ensemble of 60 singers ages 10-17, to enable young performers to learn and sing Broadway?s beloved songs, as well as develop their talents, and gain performance experience. The Camp Broadway Chorus?s inaugural fall season will culminate with an appearance in the New York Pops holiday concert at Carnegie Hall on December 10 and 11, 2010.
Auditions are being held on Monday, August 23 and Tuesday, August 24 from 5 pm ? 8 pm; and Saturday, August 28 from 12 pm ? 6 pm at Pearl Studios, 500 Eighth Avenue, 12th Floor. Program information and audition applications are now available at www.CampBroadway.com/chorus.htm.
The Camp Broadway Chorus will rehearse once a month in New York City. In addition to preparing for performances, the ensemble will learn about the life and career of the featured songwriter, giving chorus members an opportunity to connect the music they sing to American musical theatre history.
