CUNY TV Hosts Pre-Tonys Marathon of THEATER TALK, ATW'S WORKING IN THE THEATRE and TIMESTALKS Today

In honor and anticipation of the Tony Awards ceremony this evening, June 9, CUNY TV will celebrate the Broadway theatre with an eight-hour marathon of "Theater Talk," "ATW's Working in the Theatre," and "TimesTalks" programs from noon till 8 p.m. that day. Then the Tony Awards ceremony begins live on the CBS Television Network.
Here's the CUNY TV June 9 schedule: Beginning at noon, "Theater Talk" with Michael Riedel and Susan Haskins surveys the 2013 season's end with critics Ben Brantley, Peter Marks and Joan Rivers, and at 12:30, "Tony Predictions 2013" with Michael Musto, Patrick Pacheco and Jesse Green.
At 1 p.m. "TimesTalks" presents "Leading Women of Broadway," with Judith Light, Jessica Hecht, Kristine Nielsen, Holland Taylor and Maura Tierney; Patrick Healy is moderator.
At 2 p.m., "Theater Talk" presents a conversation about "Matilda," with librettist Dennis Kelly, composer/lyricist Tim Minchin and actor Bertie Carvel, and at 2:30, a show about "Matilda"'s biggest rival, "Kinky Boots," with composer/lyricist Cyndi Lauper and librettist Harvey Fierstein.
At 3 p.m., "ATW's Working in the Theatre" presents "Featured Performers 2012" with David Alan Grier, Judith Light and Condola Rashad, moderated by Patrick Pacheco.
At 4 p.m., ATW features "The Tony Awards: History, Highlights and Backstage," taped in May 2012.
At 5 p.m., ATW's "Setting the Stage" includes David Rockwell, Jerry Mitchell and Jack O'Brien.
At 6 p.m. "TimesTalks" features Harvey Fierstein and Cyndi Lauper, interviewed by Patrick Healy.
At 7 p.m., "Theater Talk" with Riedel and Haskins is back with the two shows that began the afternoon: critics Brantley, Marks and Joan Rivers, and at 7:30 p.m., "Tony Predictions 2013" with Musto, Pacheco and Green.
CUNY TV is broadcast in the tri-state region on over-the-air Ch. 25.3 and cablecast in the five boroughs of New York City on Ch. 75 (Time Warner and Cablevision/Optimum), Ch. 77 (RCN Cable), and Ch. 30 (Verizon).
