Burberry opened in Chicago with a splash.  They created a "rainstorm" to celebrate their new Michigan Avenue, 5-story flagship store.  As the guests arrived, they were greeted with eco-friendly confetti pouring down while models stood with umbrellas, snapping their fingers to simulate the sound of rain.

“We wanted to bring a little bit of Britain to Chicago,” said chief creative officer Christopher Bailey, who was joined at the event by chief executive officer Angela Ahrendts.

The English atmosphere was enhanced with a performance by Libertines' Carl Barat.  Bailey, also  remarked, “People like to party in Chicago!”
