Burbank Comedy Festival to Present LGBT Show FRUIT COCKTAIL

The Burbank Comedy Festival is pleased to present the Fruit Cocktail Showcase featuring 18 up-and-coming LGBT comedians. Hosted by Kristin Key (LAST COMIC STANDING) the show will offer unique, insightful, and hysterical opinions on all things LGBT at Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant, Wednesday, August 19 at 10:00 PM.

Host Kristin Key grew up a Texas minister´s daughter, and seemed like any other small-town girl until she opened her quick witted mouth displaying her undeniable sense of humor. At 19, she began performing standup, and in just a few years was in the final six on NBC's Last Comic Standing. Kristin has since appeared on Comics Unleashed, VH-1´s 100 Greatest Series, and is frequent guest on the BOB & TOM Show. A seasoned actor, musician, writer, and comic, Key has recorded three comedy CDs that are favorites on Sirius XM and Pandora, and is a national headliner at colleges and clubs throughout the country.

In addition to the Fruit Cocktail Showcase, the 2nd Annual Burbank Comedy Festival will feature national headliners Adam Carolla (CATCH A CONTRACTOR), Tom Green (ROAD TRIP), Kel Mitchell (GOOD BURGER), Mary Lynn Rajskub (CHLOE FROM "24") and more than 200 emerging comedians from Sunday, August 16 through Saturday, August 22.

Hosted by Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant, the Burbank Comedy Festival is packed with 50 special events including underground showcases, classes, workshops, industry panels, after parties, and live festival podcasts. The 2nd annual festival highlights new and upcoming international talent, off-beat, variety, college, all-female, and kids comedy performers.

The Burbank Comedy Festival is dedicated to discovering America's next comedy superstar. By pairing emerging comedians with established headliners, the event offers the next generation of talent the opportunity to perform and connect with top entertainment professionals, to encourage live comedy, and do some funny business.
