Broadway's Ben Vereen Set for SHARE's BOOMTOWN Experience in LA, 5/3

Each year the SHARE Ladies host one of the most anticipated fundraisers of the LA social scene "BOOMTOWN." Attracting Hollywood glitterati and business moguls alike, LA's elite will come together to support SHARE and the local children's organizations they help fund. Dolores Nemiro, President of SHARE, announced "This year's BOOMTOWN experience is set for May 3rd at the new Guerrin Pavillion in the Skirball Cultural Center. and is designed to sweep you away from the minute you step out of your car and step into 'SHARE... A Magical Evening'.

This year when the talented SHARE Ladies take to the stage to perform live, they will be joined by Tony Award winning Broadway Icon Ben Vereen, who will be lending his talents as host and headliner. Adding to the magic will be celebrity magician, Murray, a Headliner at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas and a finalist for 'America's Got Talent,' who will be wowing the audience with his mind-blowing illusions. With many other surprises in store, this evening is sure to be a night unlike any other. SHARE Boardmembers Susan Chalek and Nancy Gregory Event Chairs, are spearheading 'A Magical Evening.'

Each year, BOOMTOWN raises funds to enable SHARE to continue to support the facilities that depend on their contributions. In the past sixty-one years, this team of 80 women (still including some of the Founding Members) have used their magical touch to help raise over $53 million dollars. "We support organizations that help children who are at risk or abused, as well as supporting treatment, research, prevention, vocational training, independent living skills programs for kids facing the broad spectrum of developmental disabilities. such as Ahead with Horses, Hathaway Sycamore, and Stuart House," reported Debra Couch, Chairman of SHARE.

The festive evening includes a reception and silent auction beginning at 6pm followed by a gourmet dinner and the BOOMTOWN show.
