Ready to be in the room where Hamilton happened? In just one day (July 3), Disney+ will broadcast the hugely-anticipated Hamilton, captured live on stage at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in 2016.

Today, the countdown continues as we rewind to October 2016, when PBS Great Performances premiered Hamilton's America- a documentary about how Miranda adapted history into musical phenomenon. "[Alex Lacamoire] was much smarter than me, because I didn't know what Hamilton was gonna be," said Miranda that night. "He said, 'Let me just start filming you writing it. Whether it's an album, or a piece of theatre, let's just roll camera on it.' And I am grateful for his foresight."

He explains in the documentary: "I feel like Alexander Hamilton reached out from history and wouldn't let me go until I told his story." Told it he did, and you can catch Lin's full masterpiece from your couch starting tomorrow!
