Bay City Players will hold auditions for its upcoming production, Wait Until Dark, by Frederick Knott, on Monday & Tuesday, November 15th & 16th at 7:00 p.m. Auditions will be held at Bay City Players, 1214 Columbus Avenue, in Bay City. Directed by Elizabeth Dewey.

Performance dates are January 14th - 16th & 20th - 23rd, 2011. Director Elizabeth Dewey is looking for:

1 woman to play late 20's to mid 30's

1 girl to play a girl age 9

6 men to play mid 20's to early 50's

THE PLOT: It was just a gift her husband brought from Europe - so she thought. But a series of strangers all want it. And one of them will stop at nothing to get it. What's a blind woman to do? For the answer, we'll have to WAIT UNTIL DARK. A breath-catching mystery by Frederick Knot.
Those auditioning will be asked to read selections from the script. Limited scripts are available for check-out from the theatre office Monday - Friday from 9am to 1pm for a $10 refundable deposit. Please contact the office Monday through Friday from 9am to 1pm at (989) 893-5555 for more information, or visit our website at www.baycityplayers.com.

Wait Until Dark has a slightly longer than normal rehearsal period for a straight show because the production period includes the December holidays. Rehearsal dates will flex a bit within the above perimeters. PLEASE do not make an acting commitment to this show if your personal plans will not allow you to attend rehearsals, especially in the Dec. 19 - Dec 29 period.
