Barter Theatre Stages WOODEN SNOWFLAKES We guarantee you will find a thrill of hope in "Wooden Snowflakes," an original play written by our resident playwright Catherine Bush. This heart-warming Appalachian Christmas story runs Nov. 20 - Dec. 23 at Barter Stage II.

"Wooden Snowflakes" takes place on Christmas Eve as two unlikely strangers are trapped together for the holiday. The cynical Eve Lawson refuses to believe in Santa Claus and the magic of Christmas, but Simon Whitaker is an expert on all things Christmas, he even wears the suit to prove it.

Can Simon convince Eve of the magic and miracles to be discovered on Christmas? This is a story full of surprises, where the joyful spirit of one person might be enough to convince Eve to open her heart.

Tickets start at $20; to book your seats, call 276-628-3991 or visit www.BarterTheatre.com

About Barter Theatre

Barter Theatre, the nation's longest running professional theatre, is located in Abingdon, Virginia. The theatre opened in 1933 during the Great Depression. Founder Robert Porterfield offered patrons admission to the theatre by bartering food and livestock. Barter Theatre was designated as the state theatre of Virginia in 1946. It exists today as one of the last year-round professional resident repertory theaters remaining in the United States. Barter Theatre is funded in part by The Virginia Commission for the Arts and The National Endowment for the Arts.
