Some of Broadway's top stars flew over to Madrid this past weekend to celebrate July 4th a bit early with over 3,000 ex-pats and Spaniards. The U.S. State Department invited Tony Award-winner Laura Benanti (GYPSY), Norm Lewis (PHANTOM, PORGY AND BESS), Jared Grimes (Radio City's NEW YORK SPRING SPECTACULAR) for an evening "Celebrating New York City". BroadwayWorld has footage from the concert below!

The trio performed a medley of songs conducted by FINDING NEVERLAND's Mary-Mitchell Campbell at Madrid's Conde Duque. The one-night-only concert was produced by Harvey Weinstein, who attended himself and was invited over by the U.S. Ambassador to Spain James Costos.

Performances included classic showtunes from "Broadway Baby" to "Being Alive" and a showstopping renvisioning of MY FAIR LADY's "I Could Have Danced All Night", sung a cappella by Benanti with tap-dancing percussion from Grimes.
