BROADWAY IS TRANS Cabaret Fundraiser Set For June

Black Trans Liberation has announced BROADWAY IS TRANS, a fundraising event taking place on Sunday, June 8, 2026 at 7:30 PM at Judson Memorial Church.
Led by Qween Jean, Black Trans Liberation has provided weekly meals to New York City community members every Wednesday at Judson Memorial Church for more than six years. Through consistent mutual aid efforts, the organization feeds thousands of New Yorkers annually while building life-affirming fellowship and addressing food insecurity and homelessness within the trans community.
In 2026, Black Trans Liberation is continuing to raise funds through a series of activations designed to sustain and expand its work. BROADWAY IS TRANS serves as the first event in this fundraising initiative.
BROADWAY IS TRANS is an evening of cabaret performances celebrating the Broadway community while centering trans voices on stage. Hosted by NYC Pride Grandmarshall Peppermint, the event reflects a historic cultural shift as trans artists and their stories become increasingly visible both on and off Broadway stages.
The evening will feature performances and appearances by celebrated Broadway and theatre artists including Tony Award winner J. Harrison Ghee, Sis The Doll, Cristina Rae, Nora Schell, Chris Renfro, Arewa, Brent Thomas Whiteside, Eva Reign, and more.
Proceeds from the event directly support Black Trans Liberation's mission to end homelessness and food insecurity within the trans population through weekly meals, mutual aid, and community-centered care. Tickets begin at $50, and every ticket purchased and donation made contributes to the continuation of these vital efforts.
