The Art & History Museums - Maitland (A&H) presents an evening of art and amazements at its most anticipated fundraising event of the year: Participation: Sideshow of the Senses. The event is held on Saturday, April 6, at the A&H's Maitland Art Center, 231 W. Packwood Avenue, Maitland. A Rain Date is scheduled for Saturday, April 13. A VIP reception begins at 5:00 PM. VIP ticket holders, which include event sponsors and corporate and friends table purchasers, will sit at select tables and mingle with celebrated local artists as they enjoy fine wines and hors d'oeuvres. VIP guests are able to choose their artist table hosts. At 6:00 PM, the main event begins!

Held under the stars and throughout the A&H's beautiful Maitland Art Center campus, the stage is perfectly set for this Sideshow of the Senses, an interactive event that showcases local visual artists, fabulous food, and intriguing performances. The campus comes to life, with every nook filled with art and activity. Guests will explore the grounds as they enjoy a progressive dining experience, featuring cuisine by celebrated local chef Jamie McFadden of Cuisiniers. Sample an array of fine wines and beers at tasting centers throughout the campus. Art installation dining tables, created by our participating artists, offer guests a unique dining experience. Select artists will create works during the event, as they share their stories and insights. Our silent auction of artworks, donated by popular Central Florida artists, is sure to generate some lively bidding. Performances by the talented Phatasmagoria entertainers from Empty Spaces Theatre Co(llaboration), under the direction of John DiDonna, will be held throughout the evening. Guests are sure to be captivated by this troupe of fire-breathers, musicians, acrobats, and performers. Adding to the excitement are a text message scavenger hunt, creation stations, a surreal photo booth, and more.

This year, our celebrated line-up of artists includes Andrew Spear, Camilo Velasquez, Carla Poindexter, Cherie Dacko, Dawn Rosendahl, Derek Gores, Edson Campos, Marla E., Nathalie Chikhi, Robert Poindexter, Rocky Bridges, Tony Corbitt, Trent Tomengo, Whitney Broadaway, and Dawn Schreiner. Additional artists will be added weekly.

Individual tickets to Participation are $100 for A&H members and $130 for not-yet-members. Friends VIP tables of 10 are available for $1000 each, and Corporate VIP tables are available in levels ranging from $500 to $5000. Last year, Participation sold out, so be sure to get your tickets early!

All proceeds from Participation: Sideshow of the Senses benefit art and history education at the A&H.
