AMERICAN IDIOT To Take The Stage At Jersey Shore Arts Center
Robert Burgess, Brady Bock, and Patrick Napurano lead the cast of Green Day's Tony-winning rock opera from April 24-May 2.
NENAProductions Theater Project will open its 2026 Season with Green Day's American Idiot across two weekends from April 24 to May 2, 2026 at the Jersey Shore Arts Center. This is a high-octane rock opera that follows three lifelong friends-Johnny, Tunny, and Will-as they search for meaning in a post-9/11 world.
Fueled by punk rebellion, heartbreak, and the desire to break free, this Tony Award-winning musical features hit songs from Green Day's landmark album American Idiot and beyond, including: "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "Wake Me Up When September Ends," "21 Guns," "Holiday," and "Jesus of Suburbia."
Robert Burgess as Johnny, Brady Bock as Tunny, and Patrick Napurano as Will lead the vibrant cast which includes Jayden Calo, Mara Campolattaro, Grace Allison, Jill Gindi, Aidan Panno, Lulu Clohessy, Evan Cordero, Matt Davis, Samantha Dress, Jacqyeline Epstein, Aja Perez, Michael Rue, and Jack Russel.
The production is Directed by DJ Brown with Musical Direction by Jeff Brown and choreography by Amy Carr Skalecki. NENAproductions Theater Project celebrates 24 years in residence at the historic Jersey Shore Arts Center. The mission of NENAproductions Theater Project is to enrich, educate and entertain our community by providing a superior live theater experience, encouraging the imaginative and societal importance of theater through plays, musicals, children's theater, youth educational programs and community outreach efforts.
Performances take place Friday, April 24 at 7:30pm; Saturday, April 25 at 7:30pm; Thursday, April 30 at 7:30pm; Friday, May 1 at 7:30pm; and Saturday, May 2 at 3:00pm at 66 South Main Street in Ocean Grove, New Jersey.
