Broadwayworld has joined with the cast of Rain- A Beatles Tribute for our new "8 Days A Week" feature. Each day for eight days Joe Bithorn, Joey Curatolo, Steve Landes, and Ralph Castelli of Rain will answer one question about what The Beatles mean to them.

Day Two: Who is your favorite Beatle and why?

Joe Bithorn (George)

They really are all my favorite but I guess I do identify with George as he's the character I portray onstage.

Joey Curatolo (Paul)

Paul McCartney - because of his looks charm and incredible gift for writing melodies that will last for generations to come.

Steve Landes (Jon)

I always saw them as one thing -- The Beatles -- more than individuals, until I was older, and saw them more as each individual. Once I did, John's message of love and peace, and what he was trying to accomplish with his meaningful lyrics really made an impression on me. He was just a guy, a human being, not perfect or a saint, but just someone who hoped to become a better, more enlightened person, and related that journey in his songs and statements, with openness and honesty, that one could relate to.

Ralph Castelli (Ringo)

From that very first moment I saw Ringo on the Ed Sullivan show I was hooked. My brothers knew who they were and I was very excited. I was fortunate enough to have a set of drums in my house at that time and once I saw Ringo I knew that was what I wanted to do.

The Beatles were formed in Liverpool in 1960. The band initially began with a five-piece line-up of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Stuart Sutcliffe (bass) and Pete Best (drums.) Sutcliffe left the group in 1961, and Best was replaced by Starr the following year.  As of 1962 the group consisted of John Lennon (rhythm guitar, vocals), Paul McCartney (bass guitar, vocals), George Harrison (lead guitar, vocals) and Ringo Starr (drums, vocals). The Beatles first achieved mainstream success in the United Kingdom with their first single, "Love Me Do."
