54 Below Announces André J. Marrero as Executive Chef

54 BELOW, the nightclub and restaurant announced earlier this year, today announced that André J. Marrero will be the Executive Chef of the nightclub and restaurant. A June opening is planned.
Chef André trained at The French Culinary Institute in New York and went on to work in some of New York's leading kitchens with some of the best chefs in the world.

Among them: DB Bistro Moderne, Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Perry Street Restaurant and L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in the Four Seasons Hotel. Most recently he was the Executive Chef of Event Operations at his alma mater where he oversaw the creation of a world-class Catering and Private Events Division. He was honored to be selected as Guest Chef for the prestigious James Beard House for New Year's Eve, and won The Food Network's cooking competition, "Chopped."

Chef André brings together his love of the arts with his passion for cooking and hospitality. He will be creating a market driven contemporary bistro menu that will include ingredients sourced from all over the world. Richard Frankel, one of the partners of 54 BELOW said, "We are extraordinarily excited to have Chef André leading our culinary team.
