The 2008 Visa Signature Tony Awards Preview Concert, which aired in New York on WCBS-TV, has been honored with a New York Emmy Award Nomination by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Nominated in the category of "Best Special Event Coverage" are Executive Producers Steve Mayer and Jan Friedlander Svendsen; Producers Mike Mathis and Britt Marden and Director Brad Fuss.

The 2008 Visa Signature Tony Preview Concert, a one-hour live-to-tape broadcast, was hosted by Mario Lopez and featured performances from all of the musicals from the 2007-2008 Broadway season as well as up close and personal profiles and interviews with the 2008 Tony Nominees. Casts performed numbers from the following musicals: A Catered Affair, Cry-Baby, Grease, Gypsy, In The Heights, Passing Strange, South Pacific, Sunday in the Park with George, The Little Mermaid, and Xanadu. Produced by IMG, the 2008 Visa Signature Tony Awards Preview Concert aired in 54 markets across the United States and helped to raise awareness and excitement for the broadcast of the 62nd Annual Tony Awards.

The 52nd Annual New York Emmy Awards will be presented at a Black Tie Gala on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the Marriott Marquis - Times Square.

The American Theatre Wing's 63rd Annual Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards will air on CBS on Sunday, June 7th from 8:00 - 11:00 PM (ET/PT time delay). The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and The American Theatre Wing.
