Peninsula Players Theatre will present readings of three short plays by Door County students in the theater tonight, July 29 at 7 p.m. The free public readings, directed by Players company member Neil Friedman, will showcase the work of three young writers who participated in the High School Playwrighting Contest in conjunction with the Players' initiative, The Play's the Thing, last winter and spring. Friedman played Vince Lombardi in the Players' production of 'Lombardi' last fall and is in the Players' musical 'Sunday in the Park with George.'

Fox Cities P.A.C. Announces 2012-13 Season Distinguished Service Award Recipients

The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center presented the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra, Hearing Loss Association of America - Fox Valley Chapter and the Makaroff Youth Ballet with its 2012-13 Season Distinguished Service Award Tuesday in recognition of their ongoing support of the Center to enhance the enjoyment of life through the creation and presentation of the arts. Each of the organizations have partnered with the Fox Cities P.A.C. since its opening in 2002 and fostered continued growth of the Center.

PHANTOM OF THE OPERA's January Run at Fox Cities Moved to June

Due to a change in the national touring schedule the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center announces that THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA performance dates will move to June 11-22, 2014. The production remains part of the 2013-14 Kimberly-Clark Broadway Across America - Fox Cities Series having originally been scheduled January 8-19, 2014. The two-week run will include 16 performances including matinees on Saturday, Sunday and Thursday, June 12. Season Ticket Holder Week will be June 11-17.

This summer, listeners to Wisconsin Public Radio's Ideas Network stations will hear some new voices and find some old favorites at new times, including The Kathleen Dunn Show heard on WHAD 90.7FM in Milwaukee. WPR will make some changes to its weekday and weekend schedules beginning July 1st to better serve listeners and respond to program changes made by NPR.
