Door County's award-winning Northern Sky Theater, in cooperation with Show How, LLC, will be shining the spotlight on Winneconne, Wisconsin, in an upcoming reading of a new musical comedy. We Like It Where? by Corrie Beula Kovacs and Stephen Kovacs will be presented as a public staged read/sing-through on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 4:30 p.m. at the Winneconne Community Arts Center (WCAC).   We Like It Where? celebrates ordinary people doing extraordinary things and is based on the true story of Winneconne's brief secession from Wisconsin.

There are few places quite like Peninsula Players Theatre. Located on picturesque Green Bay, the historic residential summer theater is both a host to professional talent and a haven for young theater artists on the precipice of their careers. For the interns, this theater's program is a chance to work alongside theater professionals in a living and learning environment. The interns have the opportunity to work alongside members of Actors' Equity Association, the union of professional actors and stage managers; members of United Scenic Artists, the union of scenic, lighting, sound and costume design; and members of the Stage Director and Choreographers Society.

Peninsula Players Theatre, in conjunction with its production of the Midwest premiere of a new Broadway comedy "Living on Love," will host author Patricia Skalka. Skalka will present in a free pre-show seminar on the process and challenges of ghostwriting in the theater Thursday, August 16 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets to performances of "Living on Love" are available; admission to the pre-show seminar is free.
