Albuquerque Theatre Guild announces a new way for audiences to become involved with live theater in the metro area. The Theatre Lovers Community, TLC, is designed to enhance the audience experience through educational and social programs, exclusive benefits and invitations, gatherings of theater lovers, and priority admission to events and programs based around local theaters and their productions.
“I wished there were a way for the audience (the ticket buyers) to be integrated into the theater community. I mentioned that to ATG President Ray Orley,” says Kay Grant, co-leader of ATG’s Team TLC. “Little did I know that a few months later, the organization would take me up on it.”

Those who join TLC from January 1 through June 30, 2012 will receive membership for the entire July 2012-July 2013 year (up to 6 months free). Membership is $35 per person, $30 for full-time students and seniors 62 and older. Showing your TLC membership card will usually be required to receive the discounts and other privileges. TLC’s First Event
The first event by TLC, The Magic of Musicals on February 4, 2012 at the Adobe Theatre, showcases musical numbers from several upcoming ATG member shows and provides background information on each, as well as raffles, snacks, and a chance to meet other theater lovers. Tickets are $3 for TLC members, $5 for ATG members, $10 for non-members, and memberships will be available at the door, or online at abqtheatre.org/tlc.
