ELF The Musical is the hilarious odyssey tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts one Christmas night and is unknowingly transported back to the North Pole. Once discovered, he ends up being raised as an elf. Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy's enormous, comically bigger size than his elf pals - little workers that he out-jollies by far, but falls far short of by his pathetic toy-making skills - prompts Elf to face an agonizing truth. He simply doesn't fit in....

With Santa's permission, Buddy the elf embarks on a trek to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. In the process, he shares an infectious earnestness, unveils the spirit of love, and helps New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Starring a cast of 30 professional singers, dancers and orchestra musicians, Elf The Musical is a modern day Christmas classic filled with hilarity, sincerity, and rousing musical numbers sure to make everyone embrace their inner ELF.

The Broadway production, which is being technically produced at the Spencer (a true industry honor), is based on the beloved 2003 New Line Cinema hit that starred Will Farrell and James Caan. ELF features songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer), with a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone). The Spencer production features ice skating and flying sleigh rides - the latter being reliant on the human spirit (and the technical wizardry of Flying by Foy, the most prolific and widely-respected theatrical flying service in the world.

ELF premieres at the Spencer Theater on Tuesday, November 1 and Wednesday, November 2 at 7 p.m. These performances kick-off a major coast-to-coast national tour, a marvelous journey destined to spread the old-time feel and fantastic joys of Christmas to young and old alike. Excellent seats are available for $39-up. Call the Spencer at 888.818.7872 or visit online at www.spencertheater.com for tickets.
