A SOUTH AUSTRALIAN PREMIERE PRESENTED BY RED PHOENIX THEATRE AND HOLDEN STREET THEATRES
The 7-year-olds at Flint Street Primary are about to perform their nativity play for the proud mums and dads -- and the occasional social worker. What could go wrong?
Squabbles arise when Gabriel wants to play Mary, the Star grumbles he’s not a proper star like they have at NASA, Herod won’t stop waving to his mum and dad, and the subversive Innkeeper is determined to liven up the traditional script. And then the stick insect escapes!
The children are all played by adults and the stories are based on real events collected over a period
of 10 years from Tim Firth’s family and friends who were teachers.
From the same writer as Calendar Girls and Kinky Boots, this warm, funny and delightful play will put you in the perfect mood leading up to Christmas.
Directed by MICHAEL EUSTICE and featuring an outstanding cast of Adelaide actors including BRENDAN COONEY, DEREK CRAWFORD, CHERYL DOUGLAS, BRANT EUSTICE, NICK FAGAN, SHARON MALUJLO, TRACEY WALKER, TIM WILLIAMS, LYN WILSON
and ANITA ZAMBERLAN CANALA
