Candy Chambers Coming to Adelaide Fringe

Candy Chambers has made a name for herself in Adelaide, a city that is on the one hand notorious for its cliques and conservative attitudes, in a juxtaposition against world-stage art events such as the Fringe Festival, Adelaide Cabaret Festival and the Adelaide Cabaret Fringe Festival. It is here that the ex-porn star turned divalicious icon has laid down her roots and decided to call home.

Ask her why she chooses Adelaide and she answers coquettishly, "Well it's the people of course. I love the people of Adelaide, who are really not afraid to say what they think, and directly to your face, especially after a few drinks. With a wine region and lifestyle like Adelaide's, who wouldn't want to drink?"

It is this up close and personal approach that has helped the talented songstress streamline her act and please her public. After launching her critically acclaimed cabaret show 50 Forever in Adelaide in 2014, 2015 saw Chambers embark on a new series of live variety shows 'In Candy Tonight' in which she gets intimate with guests and audience alike.

Despite becoming something of a familiar face around Adelaide over the last few years, 2016 will mark Chambers' first foray into the Adelaide Fringe, as she introduces her brand new show, 'Candy Chambers is Degusting,' to Adelaide audiences. On for just two nights, the show is being staged at Entropy in Thebarton, where Chambers shares the stage with Musical Director Carol Young and special guests, but the real co-host for the evening is the 5 course degustation, prepared by Entropy Chef Aiden Sczensy.

Entropy sources local produce and will be creating a food and wine experience to delight audience senses as a perfect and deliberate accompaniment to the show. Guests will be invited to devour and degust, as Candy Chambers enthralls with songs, stories and guests.
