Royal Opera House to Bring THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS to West End in December

Will Tuckett brings The Wind in the Willows to life through action, dance, song, music and puppetry. This colourful and witty re-creation of the story was originally commissioned by the Royal Opera House and enjoyed four highly successful runs in the Linbury Studio Theatre. The production will transfer to the West End for an eight week run at the Duchess Theatre in December 2013. Performances begin December 11 and will continue through February 1, 2014.

The much-loved adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's classic sees the adventures of reckless Toad and his long-suffering friends Ratty, Mole and Badger retold through dance, song, music and puppetry. It will run for eight weeks.

The escapades of the reckless Toad and his long-suffering friends Ratty, Mole and wise Badger, are brought to life in a magical, riverside setting. Set to a wonderful score by Martin Ward that draws its inspiration from the music of Edwardian composer George Butterworth, this adaptation will introduce the much-loved tale to a whole new generation of fans.
