Cassidy Janson, of London's WICKED, will take over the title role in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical from Katie Brayben, starting November 30, 2015 at the Aldwych Theatre.

The Daily Mail writes Janson will portray Carole King, with Diane Keen as her mother, Genie Klein (currently played by Glynis Barber).

Janson recently appeared as 'Ruth' in DESSA ROSE at the Trafalgar Studios, for which she was nominated for a Broadway World Award for Best Actress.

She appeared in the Menier Chocolate Factory's revival of CANDIDE in the role of 'Paquette' and in the principle role of 'Maggie' in the original West End cast of LEND ME A TENOR at the Gielgud Theatre. Prior to that she played 'Amy' in Stephen Sondheim's COMPANY at the Southwark Playhouse and lead role of 'Kate Monster' and 'Lucy the Slut' in AVENUE Q. She was in the original London cast of WICKED. She took part in the BRIDGET JONES: THE MUSICAL workshops directed by Stephen Daldry, and in the role of 'Myrna' in the workshop for a new musical MISS ATOMIC BOMB.

The West End production of BEAUTIFUL - THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL, opened last February at the Aldwych Theatre, London. Directed by Marc Bruni, BEAUTIFUL - THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL has book by Douglas McGrath with words and music by Gerry Goffin, Carole King, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.

Other leading cast members include Ian McIntosh as song-writer Barry Mann, Alan Morrissey as King's husband and song-writing partner Gerry Goffin, Lorna Want as songwriter Cynthia Weil, and Gary Trainor as music publisher and producer Don Kirshner.

BEAUTIFUL - THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL is based on the early life and career of legendary singer/ songwriter Carole King. Beautiful has book by Douglas McGrath with words and music by Gerry Goffin, Carole King, Barry MannandCynthia Weil and is directed by Marc Bruni. Choreography is by Josh Prince with set designs by Derek McLane, costume designs by Alejo Viettii, lighting by Peter Kaczorowski and sound by Brian Ronan. Orchestrations and Music Arrangements are by Steve Sidwell.

BEAUTIFUL - THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL is the untold story of her journey from school girl to superstar; from her relationship with husband and song-writing partner Gerry Goffin, their close friendship and playful rivalry with fellow song-writing duo Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, to her remarkable rise to stardom. Along the way, she became one of the most successful solo acts in music history, and wrote the soundtrack to a generation.
