Blue Apple Theatre and writer William Jessop re-invent Shakespeare's HAMLET in a fresh and powerful adaptation using Shakespeare's original language. HAMLET will be performed by an award-winning cast of six actors with learning disabilities. The production will tour from May-July, 2012.

The national tour, which has been supported by The Arts Council, will play in 13 theatres and arts centres across the country. The tour returns to Winchester in June with a full company production at Winchester's Theatre Royal.

Hamlet features Tommy Jessop in the title role. Tommy, who has Down's Syndrome, has numerous stage and screen credits, most notably in the BAFTA nominated Coming Down the Mountain (Tiger Aspect for BBC1). He has also featured in Casualty, Holby City, Monroe and Radio 4 afternoon plays.
