City of Angels, with book by Larry Gelbart, music by Cy Coleman, and lyrics by David Zippel, plays through June 5, 2016 at NextStop Theatre Company, in Herndon, Virginia. Check out photos from the production below!

There are two shows in one in this racy and stylish musical throwback to the golden age of Hollywood. Just try not to be swayed by 1940s film noir vixens, the entrancing musical score, or the allure of the life of a private eye hero. Come see how we present the movie-within-the-musical in black and white, live on stage!

City of Angels won six Tony Awards in 1990, including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score, and has never been produced by a professional company in the DC region.

The cast includes Bobby Libby, Ryan Burke, Katie Keyser, Katie McManus, Teresa Danskey, John Loughney, Mark Hidalgo, Scott Harrison, Mackenzie Newbury, Grant Saunders, Zac Brightbill, Carolyn Burke, Ward Ferguson, Shaina L. Murphy. The City of Angels band is led by Elisa Rosman on piano and features Glenn Scimonelli, Randy Dahlberg, Mitch Bassman, Dana Gardner, Paul Weiss, and Bill Wright. Alex Aucoin, Gwyn Jones, and Scott Fridy will play certain performances.

The production team features Director: Evan Hoffmann; Music Director: Elisa Rosman; Choreographer: Alisa Claire; Co-Scenic Designers: Evan Hoffmann and Jack Golden; Costume Designer: Kristina Martin; Lighting Designer: AnnMarie Castrigno; Sound Designer: Nicholas Upchurch; Properties Designer: Amanda Srok; Hair & Makeup Designer: Molly Hicks Larson; Costume Design Assistant: Maria Bissex; Production Stage Manager: Laura Moody; Scenic Charge: Amy Kellett; Master Electrician: Brian Stefaniak; Assistant Stage Manager/Wardrobe: Karla Gil; Deck Crew: Max Frost; and Photography by Traci J.
