National Symphony Orchestra Adds Diana Ross To NSO Pops

The National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) Pops announces the addition of three performances led by Emil de Cou on December 1-3, 2016, featuring the legendary entertainer Diana Ross. The program features Ross performing favorites from her catalogue of 31 Top Ten hits. All three concerts take place in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall.

Tickets are available beginning September 6 at 10 a.m. to Kennedy Center Members, and beginning September 14 at 10 a.m. to the general public.

Diana Ross was the recipient of a 2007 Kennedy Center Honors which celebrated her lustrous career of excellence in music, film, television, and theater, as well as her cultural influences, humanitarian work, and contributions to American culture. Other career milestones include induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, The Songwriters Hall of Fame, National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences Hero Award, NAACP Entertainer Award, and Billboard's Female Entertainer of the Century Award.

Ross's famed and remarkable career spanning almost five decades has resulted in major awards and accolades and music history milestones. She is a consummate performer, as well as one of the most iconic female singers of all time and one of the most prominent women in popular music history and pop culture of the late 20th century. The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (Grammys®) celebrated her remarkable career in 2012 with their highest honor, The Lifetime Achievement Award.
