Named after a sun-loving fungus that grows in barnyards and pastures, Pilobolus thrills audiences with ingenious choreography, zesty humor, daring physicality, and raw athleticism. Equal part dancers, acrobats, mimes, and theater artists, the troupe creates human sculptures that defy both gravity and logic. As zany as the Marx Brothers and clever as Houdini, the Washington Post says Pilobolus “embodies a large part of what the best in contemporary dance is all about: discovery.” With notable appearances on Oprah, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and at the Oscars, Pilobolus is serious fun.
