byMoonlight's EAST offers the audience, should they dare to take it, a hilarious, heartfelt and uncensored insight into the cut-throat violence and uncertainty of London's East End through five characters; impetuous and repugnant yet disarmingly attractive best friends Mike and Les, sultry and promiscuous object of their sexual wants Sylv, racist Dad and television warped Mum. The group's questionable actions are overseen throughout by a charming and judgemental piano player who tinkles his ivories in response to their abhorrent deeds and desires.

Using Total Theatre, movement and live music, byMoonlight unlock the intrinsic rhythm of Berkoff's seminal work to create an unforgettable, bold, witty and soulful experience that has thrilled audiences and will "stimulate and shock the senses."

The show will be held at The Latest Musicbar, 14 – 17 Manchester Street, Brighton, BN2 1TF on May 2nd – 19:00 (Preview) and May 14th and 15th – 21:30. Tickets: £10 / £8 (concession). Book at: http://www.bymoonlighttheatre.com/east.html. Visit www.bymoonlighttheatre.com for more information.

byMoonlight Theatre's aim is simple – to create exciting, innovative and fearless theatre for the masses and allow people to unashamedly show their inner lunacy.

In the past two years byMoonlight Theatre has taken classic texts and original scripts and filled them with energy, play, emotion, character and an engaging and open ensemble style which is quickly becoming their trademark.

Last year the company produced two pieces for the International Youth Arts Festival (IYAF) in Kingston; new writing SURVIVORS by Andy Currums and Steven Berkoff's EAST, which was described as "the highlight of the festival".

This year byMoonlight Theatre is touring EAST and are premiering their production of THE TAMING OF THE SHREW at IYAF in July.
