All new/newish/unsigned comedy performers (stand-ups, character comedians, humorous spoken word & poetry, musical comedy, sketch, and speciality comic acts) are invited to enter, before the end of the month; already there have been 300+ entries, with 7 days still to go.

So this is a call to action: to grab the moment, if you or someone you know should be taking part.

This presents a great opportunity to follow in the footsteps of previous winners such as Jack Whitehall and Sarah Millican, not least because so many comedy industry people recognise this competition as a key resource for talentscouting new talent across the comedy genre, turning up in droves to watch those who win through to the Heats, Semifinals and Final.

Full details are in a link on www.amusedmoose.com/awards

67 talentscouts signed up to watch entries last year - numerous comedy agencies including all the majors, plus television/radio producers, commissioners and channels (including BBC, ITV, C4, Sky, NBC and Comedy Central), casting directors, television production companies, comedy venue bookers, and also comedy reviewers, and so on.

All it takes to enter, is to check you meet the entry criteria, then on the online entry form either select dates when you could be in a qualifying round, or include a link to a very short clip of you onstage, which industry panellists will then watch online. Entries to Amused Moose Comedy's NATIONAL NEW COMIC award close by 23.59 on 31 JANUARY, but to get one of your preferred dates (or maximum exposure of your clip) do enter asap.
