The cast for the first major revival of Clare McIntyre's Low Level Panic, directed by Chelsea Walker, is Sophie Melville (nominated for the Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Actress for Iphigenia in Splott), Katherine Pearce (Lyric's Secret Theatre) and Samantha Pearl (Belarus Free Theatre's Tomorrow I Was Always a Lion).

When am I going to wake up and be different?

Three flatmates. A single bathroom. And a whole world of men.

Mary's found some porn in their bin, and needs to talk about it. But Jo's in the bath, fantasizing about being someone else. And Celia just wants to look her best for the party tonight.

In this funny, timely and unapologetic play, three twenty-something women figure out how they really feel about sex, their bodies and each other.

With a vibrancy and stylistic freedom, Low Level Panic interrogates the effects of society's objectification of women.

Clare McIntyre's (1952-2009) Low Level Panic won the Samuel Beckett award when it premiered at the Royal Court in 1988, while her next play My Heart's a Suitcase earned her the Evening Standard's Most Promising Playwright Award.

Chelsea Walker, runner-up, JMK Award 2016, directs. She is part of The Old Vic 12. She has directed P'Yongyang by In-Sook Chappell and Chicken Dust by Ben Weatherill (Finborough); Klippies by Jessica Sian (Southwark Playhouse); Lean by Isley Lynn (Tristan Bates); and Occupied by Catriona Kerridge (BAC/Bush). She has assisted James MacDonald and Simon Godwin.
