Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) has announced that it has been awarded an International Safety Management Award from the International Safety Quality Environment Management Association (ISQEM), a UK based professional association.

This latest award is in recognition of ATG's commitment to keeping its workers and workplaces healthy and safe.

Co-founded by Sir Howard Panter and Rosemary Squire OBE in 1992, ATG is the world's number one live-theatre company with a total of 39 venues in Britain and on Broadway and an internationally recognised award-winning theatre producer with productions in the West End and on Broadway and touring productions in the UK, North America, Australia and Asia. ATG is also the market leader in theatre ticketing services through ATG Tickets, LOVETheatre and Group Line.

Rosemary Squire, ATG's Joint CEO, said: "Working in theatres and the theatre industry is often high pressured and fast-moving, albeit enormously rewarding. We are therefore delighted to receive this award today, and are now safe in the knowledge that the working environment provided to all employees of ATG meets the highest possible safety standards."

The International Safety Management Awards seek to celebrate and promote the success of the winning organisations and their employees in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all. They are open to businesses, public and third sector bodies of all sizes and sectors.

The President of ISQEM Wayne Taylor congratulates ATG on its success: "The International Safety Management Awards rightly reflects the importance of aiming for good standards of health and safety at work. ATG should rightly be proud of its achievement. Congratulations."
