Author Ethan Mordden discusses the lives and the romance of two theatre legends - actress/singer Lotte Lenya and composer Kurt Weill, the subjects of his new book, Love Song - on the latest edition of THEATER TALK, premiering at 1 a.m. tonight, October 26 (2012; early Saturday morning) on Thirteen/PBS, followed in New York City on CUNY TV* Saturday at 8:30 PM, Sunday at 12:30 PM, and Monday at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 7:30 PM. Museum of the Moving Image and the YMCA of Greater New York will launch Ad Lab, a new after-school partnership offering workshops in political media literacy and media-making to 100 civic-minded New York City teens. Participating teens and educators will use the Museum's acclaimed website, The Living Room Candidate (http://livingroomcandidate.org), an online archive of more than 500 presidential campaign commercials from every election year since 1952, as the main resource and tool to view, discuss, and remix historic ads. The camels, sheep and donkey reported to Radio City Music Hall for their first day of rehearsals for the 2012 Radio City Christmas Spectacular and their starring role in the "Living Nativity' today, October 25, 2012. The Rockettes welcomed back their four-legged friends-the camels, sheep and donkey will take part in the Rockettes Celebration!, which celebrates 85 years of the Rockettes performing in New York City. The "Living Nativity" has been a beloved part of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular since its inception. Check out photos of the Rockettes and their animal friends below! (more...)

The first public event of The Met Reframed, the new Metropolitan Museum artist residency that in the 2012-13 season features Paul D. Miller aka DJ Spooky, is a screening of the classic 1956 Korean film Madame Freedom accompanied by a live performance-by violinist Jennifer Kim and cellist Danielle Cho, with electronic music-of an original score created in 2007 by Miller, on Friday, October 26, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the Met's Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium.
