Years after her death, people are still captivated by Marilyn Monroe. Images of her are still hugely popular and the public's curiosity for new facts and information about the Hollywood legend remain as strong as ever.

Citizen Theatre - an independent theatre company based in Melbourne - is exploring this fascination in the one-woman show 'Nude' - beneath the beauty spot. After a successful season at the 2014 Melbourne Cabaret Festival, the show will be playing at the Alex Theatre St Kilda's intimate black box theatre from 13-23 August. 'Nude' is gaining the interest of dedicated Marilyn Monroe fans, whilst also attracting attention from Melbourne theatre-goers interested in knowing more about the blonde bombshell.

'Nude' puts a new spin on the songs and stories of Marilyn Monroe as the audience gain a 'behind the scenes' insight into what it takes to create a character that is desired and desirable. Songs performed include "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend", "My Heart Belongs to Daddy", "Bye Bye Baby" and more.

Starring Carina Waye (Company, Flower Children), the Creative Team includes: Director/Writer Jayde Kirchert (The Importance of Being Earnest), Musical Director Trevor Jones (Sexercise), Set/Costume Design Marc McIntyre (NED - A New Australian Musical), Lighting Design Peter Amesbury (Guilty Pleasures) and Produced by Glenn Ferguson (Loving Repeating).

Citizen Theatre's show Nude - beneath the beauty spot - will be playing at The Alex Theatre St Kilda, August 13 - 23 2015. Tickets range from $25-$35. Special group discounts apply for performances in the first week (call 1300 364 002). Please note this show contains nudity.
