America's biggest-selling jazz instrumentalist, virtuosic trumpeter Chris Botti, is set to join the Sydney Symphony Orchestra next month for two performances at the Sydney Opera House.

The Grammy Award-winning musician will present a program of universally-loved hits including The Look of Love, When I Fall in Love, Concierto de Aranjuez, Let's Stay Together and Nessun Dorma.

Botti last played with the SSO in 2012 and describes Australia as one of his favourite places to perform.

"In Australia, audiences have an appreciation of sophisticated music, so it's a great treat for me to come here," Botti said.

Botti has become the largest-selling American instrumental artist, with more than four million album sales to his name. He has received multi-Gold, Platinum and Grammy awards, the most recent being Best Pop Instrumentalist for his 2013 album, Impressions. Performing up to 300 concerts per year worldwide, he is renowned for his uniquely expressive sound and soaring musical imagination.
