Acclaimed Melbourne performer Michael Dalton is set to reveal a completely new side of his talents as he portrays both brother (Leslie) and sister (Maureen) in the unique family drama A DIFFERENT WAY HOME that will have its Australian Premiere at Chapel off Chapel from October 6th 2015.

A DIFFERENT WAY HOMEis an exceptionally touching play written by U.K. playwright Jimmie Chinn, which conveys the need for families to communicate and how, in an ideal world, love and affection would transcend prejudice. Through their dysfunctional relationship the siblings teach us how love, laughter and loss are what bind us together as family.

This unusual and poignant black comedy starts act one with the character Leslie telling us why there is very little love lost between he and his seemingly uncaring sister Maureen.
In act two Maureen gives us a glimpse into why she made the decision to break away from a family she found hard to be a part of. The play although poignant and touching, also gives us a great deal of laughter. It also asks, how do we cope with losing a loved one?

Michael Dalton says "It has been a few years since I tackled something quite so in depth and challenging, it's an exciting time and I intend to grab it with both hands. This will be the first time one actor has portrayed both characters and I am geared up to portray these two very diverse people under the attentive direction of Zoe Warwick."
