LOLA'S BAR. A brand new Swedish musical starring Anton Zetterholm (LES MISERABLES, WICKED, TARZAN), Karin Mårtensson (LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, ASSASSINS, PARADE), Sanna Johansson, Erik Gullbransson (LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, REBECCA, MISS SAIGON, LES MISERABLES) Mattias Ermedal and Jakob Albinsson is in the works. It is written by Anders Lignell and Peter Wiberg.

The story takes place at Lola's Bar. A place where artists can unwind, drink, eat and hear the latest gossip in the world of theater. LOLA'S BAR is according to the official website:

"A musical about love and betrayal. Of passion and jealousy. About belonging and exclusion. And about a lifelong lie that is finally revealed."

Following is a rough translation of the plot summary:

The story is a love triangle - with two triangles. The central character is Stella, a tough, independent and street smart girl that life has been hard on, but she is now dreaming of starting a new life and family together with Dani, a refugee, persecuted in his homeland for reasons we can only imagine.

Dani is staying illegally in the country, and Stella's ex, a notorious gang leader who is still in love with her, knows about it. Steve and Luca, the two owners of the bar are in the second triangle. They have previously worked as cabaret performers - dancers, comedians and magicians - and play key roles in Stella's life. More important than she can imagine.

Steve and Luca are also a couple and have been together for years. Although Luca sometimes feels a twinge of jealousy at the suspicion that Steve sometimes shows signs to appreciate the opposite sex. And Stella is one of them.
