The Downtown Cabaret Theatre is well into rehearsals for their all-new musical Decades in Concert: Spirit of the 60s. The production opens Friday, April 15th and runs through May 15th at Connecticut's most historic Cabaret Theatre.

The cast of Downtown Cabaret Theatre's The Santa Story is having a blast in rehearsals. The world premiere TYA musical tells the heartwarming and hilarious story of a young St. Nick and his journey to become Santa Claus. The perfect blend of music, mayhem, and merriment for the whole family that is sure to have audiences ringing jingle bells this holiday season.

The Downtown Cabaret Theatre is bringing back its very own original concert revue series: Decades in Concert. After a sold out summer preview in August, Decades in Concert: Sounds of the Seventies is slated for its official world-premiere with a three-week run beginning on January 31st.

The Connecticut Children's Theatre (CCT) at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre continues its 2018-2019 season with Snow White. This show will take place at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre for a six-weekend run beginning April 13th.

The Astoria Performing Arts Center has announced Willy Russell's (Educating Rita and Shirley Valentine) BLOOD BROTHERS, musical staging by Christine O'Grady, musical direction by Julianne B. Merrill, and directed by Tom Wojtunik. BLOOD BROTHERS will play a limited engagement at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church (30-44 Crescent St, Astoria, NY 11102. Entrance on 30th Road.) Today, we're featuring Adrian Zmed circa 1988. His first major acting gig was the role Danny Zuko, in the national touring company production of Grease. He later appeared in the Broadway stage musical three times, twice in the role of Zuko. In the original Broadway production of Grease, he starred with Jeff Conaway, who played Kenickie in the 1978 motion picture Grease. Zmed returned to stage work in the 1990s, headlining the musical Children of Eden at the Paper Mill Playhouse, and starred in three shows on Broadway: Falsettos, Blood Brothers, and Grease.
