From the moment Jenelle Lynn Randall appeared at the top of the Studio C staircase, there was magic in the air as she descended with great style and bravado to share the life, music, and oversized personality of Eartha Kitt. As the writer, creator and executive producer of the Fringe 2019 show, it's easy to realize you are watching an incredibly talented artist perform her dream role from start to finish!

Porchlight Music Theatre made its debut at The Arts Club of Chicago, 201 E. Ontario Street, with its hit musical revue series, New Faces Sing Broadway 1959, hosted by Gene Weygandt, directed by Adrian Abel Azevedo with music direction by David Fiorello, Tuesday, February 27.

The Anderson & Bert Cade Fulton Foundation, Andrea J. Fulton, Founder & Producer, in association with the Jamaica Performing Arts Center/JPAC, presents the return of August Wilson's TWO TRAINS RUNNING. Ms. Fulton first presented TWO TRAINS RUNNING in the summer of 2016 as a free community offering to 40-seat audiences in Bed-Stuy's Fulton and Von King Parks as part of 'August in August,' an arts initiative created by the Fulton Foundation in partnership with Joseph Grant, Jr., the Arts and Cultural Ambassador of Councilman Robert E. Directed by Artistic Director Edward Hall, this new production takes a closer look at the entrepreneurial outsiders who became part of the beating heart of modern Britain. Critically acclaimed actor Sara Kestelman takes on the lead role of matriarch Yetta Solomon in this epic new work.

Hampstead Theatre presents the world premiere of Ryan Craig's fiery family drama Filthy Business. Directed by Artistic Director Edward Hall, this new production takes a closer look at the entrepreneurial outsiders who became part of the beating heart of modern Britain.

Directed and choreographed by Todd Nielsen, with musical direction by Gerald Sternbach, and starring ICT favorites Kevin Bailey (Abigail/1702),Valerie Perri (The Sweepers), Adam von Almen (The Heir Apparent) and newcomer Katheryne Penny, Closer Than Ever opens February 12at ICT's home in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. Two low-priced previews take place on Feb. 10 and Feb. 11.

New York City's Drama Book Shop hosted a panel discussion on the life & career of Madeline Kahn (1942-99), the Oscar-nominated, Emmy & Tony-winning actress on June 11, 2015. Star of such hit films as Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Paper Moon & Clue & Broadway shows On the Twentieth Century, The Sisters Rosensweig & Two by Two, Kahn is the subject of a new biography, MADELINE KAHN: Being the Music • A Life (University Press of Mississippi) by William V. Madison, moderated the panel.

Puppets and live performers enact an enigmatic tale of early World War II in 'King Executioner,' the newest creation of Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre written and directed by Vit Horejš. The play is loosely based on 'When you are a King, You will be an Executioner' ('A Jak Krolem a Jak Katem Bedzies,' 1968) by the Polish magical realist novelist Tadeusz Nowak (1930-1991).
