The Wives Photos - Off-Broadway

The glorious Opera Theatre of Saint Louis has opened its New Works, Bold Voices Lab. This is its continuation of a program exploring where the world of opera might go in days ahead. This season’s offerings are three quite different short pieces, together lasting some hour and a quarter.

Martin McDonagh's new comedy Hangmen will begin previews on Friday, February 28, 2020, and officially open on Thursday, March 19, 2020, for a strictly limited twenty-week engagement through Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Broadway's Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street).

Bette Midler hosted her annual Hulaween event, with this year's theme being 'Hulaween in the Cosmos.'

Donmar Associate Robert Hastie returns for this timely revival from one of our greatest living playwrights, following his previous productions My Night with Reg and Splendour.

Just last month, BroadwayWorld's Kid Critics stopped by the Broadway Theatre to check out a beloved classic- Fiddler on the Roof. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Broadway Records will release a New Broadway Cast Album of Fiddler on the Roof. It will have its worldwide release on March 18th and be available to purchase at The Broadway Theatre beginning March 8th. The recording is currently available for pre-order at The Broadway Theatre, on Amazon.com and on the label's website,http://www.broadwayrecords.com/. To life! The Broadway revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is currently in previews, with an official opening slated for Sunday, December 20 at The Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway). FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher, who most recently helmed the 2015 Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of The King and I. Sher has directed Burstein on Broadway in the revivals of Golden Boy and South Pacific, as well as in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. It will be choreographed byHofesh Shechter, inspired by the original choreography of Jerome Robbins, and the music director will be Ted Sperling (The King and I, South Pacific). The new Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof is got into the holiday spirit by celebrating the first night of Chanukah on Sunday at DOROT on Upper East Side. DOROT, an innovative leader in mobilizing volunteers of all ages to improve the lives and health of the elderly, welcomed members of the Fiddler cast to perform 'If I Were a Rich Man' and 'Sunrise, Sunset' and visit with the seniors. In 1994, Bette Midler returned to New York after nearly 20 years in Los Angeles, and started the New York Restoration Project, a non-profit organization devoted to bringing abandoned and neglected parks, gardens, and open spaces in all five boroughs back to life. NYRP includes the beautiful New Leaf Cafe in Fort Tryon Park as part of its success, and is committed to helping restore parks and gardens devastated by Hurricane Sandy.
