The internationally acclaimed St Petersburg Ballet Theatre are set to make a welcome return to the London Coliseum this summer, with their full-length classic production of Swan Lake. The Company's 2015 season was a total sell out with over 25,000 seats sold. Due to huge demand, and additional 9 performances have been added to the season since announcement. The strictly limited 2018 season now takes place between Wednesday 22nd August and Sunday 2nd September 2018. Press night is Thursday 23rd August at 7.30pm
Australia's most successful homegrown musical, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, is previewing to packed houses at Melbourne's Regent Theatre ahead of its official ' pink carpet ' gala opening this Tuesday 30 January. The gala marks the 175 opening night for the iconic hit show, which has travelled to 135 cities in 29 countries around the world since it premiered in Australia a decade ago.
'Romeo and Juliet,' William Shakespeare's classic love story, with a cast of 20, period costuming, sword fights, and scenic design by a Tony Award winner, will be directed by Playhouse Artistic Director Mark Lamos at Westport Country Playhouse, now through November 19. Patrick Page played his final performance as 'The Green Goblin' in Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark yesterday, August 5. Broadway star Robert Cuccioli, best known for his Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle winning and Tony-nominated performance as the star of Jekyll and Hyde, will take on the role in his long-anticipated return to Broadway. In his new play, The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures, Kushner writes movingly about politics and family in America today-plus unions, real estate and love. Kushner and Eustis discussed these topics and more, with an introduction by special guest host Cynthia Nixon.
