The Riant Theatre (Van Dirk Fisher, Artistic Director), a nonprofit theatre supporting playwrights and theatre makers of diverse cultural backgrounds, held the Gala for its annual Strawberry One-Act Festival, which takes place from February 12th through February 23, 2020 at Theatre 54 @ Shetler Studios and Theatres, 244 West 54th St, 12th Floor, NYC.

Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. Roundabout Theatre Company announced the full cast this July for the new Broadway production of Rupert Holmes' Tony Award-winning musical comedy The Mystery of Edwin Drood. The music charge is $105 ($80 bar) Tuesday - Thursday and $130 ($95 bar) Friday & Saturday. Dinner (required at all early performances) is served from 6:30PM. The Carlyle Hotel welcomed Olivier and Tony Award-winner Douglas Hodge (La Cage Aux Folles) to the legendary Café Carlyle in his debut engagement last night, March 15. Playing through Saturday, March 26, Mr. Hodge returns to New York to offer an evening of great American story songs, including some of his own compositions from the new musical, Meantime. For the act, he plays piano, guitar, and sings with support from a 3-piece band: Sonny Paladino (piano/musical director), Steve Millhouse (bass), and Jared Schonig (drums).

The Carlyle Hotel (Erich Steinbock, Managing Director) welcomed two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole to the legendary Café Carlyle for her fourth engagement in the iconic New York venue last night, January 11th, 2011 (and playing through Saturday, January 29th), Ms. Ebersole presents an all new program -- an eclectic musical evening on the subjects of Hollywood, family...and aging. Grateful, an evening of musical theatre and uplifting gospel music at Cadogan Hall on Sunday September 12, will feature West End stars, a 20-piece band and the West End Gospel Choir, to raise funds for the ground-breaking Intermission Youth Theatre.

On Tuesday, February 3rd, beloved star of stage and screen Nathan Lane, celebrated his birthday at The Cafe Carlyle in Manhattan by taking in a performance of Christine Ebersole's acclaimed cabaret concert. Ms. Ebersole sang 'Happy Birthday' to Mr. Lane in the style of Marilyn Monroe. Also in attendance at the event were Rupert Everett, Michael Blakemore, Rob Ashford, Chris Noth, Anne Kaufman Schneider (playwright George S. Kaufman's daughter), Scott Wittman and Andrea Martin.

Jim Caruso's Cast Party presented orchestrator, musical director and composer Jonathan Tunick in concert, as part of the Nightlife Award-winning series Broadway at Birdland on Monday, November 24th. Winner of the Oscar, Tony, Emmy, and Grammy Awards, Jonathan Tunick brought back the sound of the big bands with the debut performance of The Broadway Moonlighters, featuring New York's finest musicians. Broadway legend Barbara Cook joined the evening as Tunick's very special guest.
