The third show in the 2019 season is the Broadway At Music Circus premiere of the award-winning musical comedy The Drowsy Chaperone is now on stage, starring writeractorcomedian Bruce Vilanch and featuring a cast of Broadway veterans. The show runs Tuesday, July 9 through Sunday, July 14 at the Wells Fargo Pavilion in Sacramento. Check out photos of the cast in action!

 The Hangar Theatre Company completes their 44th Mainstage Summer Season with the campy fun-filled disco-infused Xanadu, directed and choreographed by Devanand Janki. The book was written by Douglas Carter Beane, with Music and Lyrics by Jeff Lynne & John Farrar. Performances will run from August 16 to September 1 with matinee and evening performances.

Broadway Workshop, New York's top youth theatre program brought the Broadway musical XANADU, back to New York this past weekend. Broadway Workshop's production marked the first NYC staging of Xanadu since the 2007 Broadway production. Performances took place The Baruch Performing Arts Center and ran May 17th through May 19th. Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Julianne Boyd, Artistic Director, and Tristan Wilson, Managing Director, presents a workshop production of the new musical The Black Suits with music and lyrics by Joe Iconis and book by Joe Iconis and Robert Emmett Maddock. The Black Suits is part of Barrington Stage's Musical Theatre Lab, William Finn, Artistic Producer. Directed by John Simpkins, choreographed by Jennifer Werner, with musical direction by James Sampliner, The Black Suits is currently running through September 2 at BSC's St. Germain Stage (formerly Stage 2). On March 27, Raven-Symone took over the leading role of Deloris Van Cartier in Broadway's SISTER ACT. As announced earlier today, Raven-Symone will take over the leading role of Deloris Van Cartier in the hit Broadway musical, SISTER ACT, beginning performances on Tuesday, March 27. Ms. Symoné will take over the role from Tony and Olivier Award nominee Patina Miller, who will give her final performance on Sunday, March 18. Transport Group,'s 2011 Gimme A Break! benefit honored playwright Douglas Carter Beane and composer/lyricist Lewis Flinn last night, December 5 at the Asia Society and Museum. Gimme A Break! began with a cocktail reception followed by a performance featuring Broadway stars sharing their 'big break' experiences through stories and songs.
