All new production images have been released for the World Premiere of the UK and Ireland tour of THE OSMONDS: A New Musical, which began performances on Thursday 3 February at Curve, Leicester.

Rockefeller Center and Art Production Fund will continue their Art in Focus partnership with a site-specific public art presentation by Los Angeles-based painter HILARY PECIS. Presented in multiple public locations throughout the Rockefeller Center campus, Pecis’ presentation will begin on July 6, 2021. 

First production images are released today of Ain't Misbehavin' - now playing at Mercury Theatre Colchester until Saturday 30 March. The production then transfers to Southwark Playhouse from Friday 19 April to Saturday 1 June, as the first London revival in almost 25 years.

As a way of introducing myself as the new DANCE REVIEWER for Broadway World L. A., I am reporting on an historic event in which I participated at St. Luke's Theatre on March 26th, 2018 in NYC: the 40th-year anniversary and reunion of the cast members of the opening of Tony Award-Winning Bob Fosse's DANCIN' on Broadway at The Broadhurst Theatre on March 27, 1978.

How often have you disagreed with your parents or siblings about their political views? Certainly in this election year with such polarized candidates running for the highest office, it does not take much to understand how political beliefs can split families and friends apart. The divisive world of Washington D.C. politics in now center stage at the Bram Goldsmith Theater at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts through June 4. Starring Christine Lahti, Jason Ritter and Georgia King in a new production directed by Michael Wilson.

Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. Not all news was good though, as we also suffered a loss of an incredible amount of talent. Below, BroadwayWorld sends a fond farewell to those who passed away in 2014.

Paul Grimault's THE KING AND THE MOCKINGBIRD, written by Grimault and legendary poet and screenwriter Jacques Prévert, will be released by Rialto Pictures in a new restoration from Studiocanal, following its U.S. premiere at the New York Film Festival in October. Theatrical release is slated for Friday, November 21, when it will open at Film Society of LINCOLN Center in New York City, followed by a Los Angeles (Laemmle Theatres, December 19) and national rollout. It's official! Barbra Streisand is the voice of a lifetime, OUR lifetime. Legendary singer Barbra Streisand has made music history yet again- this time for having ten of her albums reach #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Her latest album 'Partners,' was just released on September 16th from Columbia Records, and sold over 196,000+ copies in its first week. This makes Streisand the female artist with the most #1 albums and the first artist with #1's in each of the past six decades. It's no wonder she remains Broadway's greatest export.

Contemporary Theatre of Dallas will make its New York debut in July 2014 with LONE STAR and LAUNDRY & BOURBON. The two one-acts by the widely-produced late playwright James McLure give a flavorful slice of life in rural Texas. Now in its 13th season, the celebrated regional theater company has been named 'Best Theatre Company' by the Dallas Observer. Their productions are regularly selected in the 'Top 10 Shows of the Year' from the Dallas Voice. LONE STAR and LAUNDRY & BOURBON, directed by Cynthia Hestand, will be performed at The Clurman Theatre (410 West 42nd Street) from July 5 to July 26. Scroll down for a sneak peek at both shows!

On Tuesday, June 3, 2014 City Parks Foundation (CPF) held the City Parks Foundation Gala presented at SummerStage in Central Park, an annual fundraising event that supports CPF's free year-round arts, sports, education and community-building programs. Marin Theatre Company begins the second half of its 2013-14 Season with the National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere of Lasso of Truth, which was co-commissioned by MTC and NNPN in 2010 from Minnesota-based playwright Carson Kreitzer. Running for a limited time now through March 16, this multimedia theatrical event explores the history of Wonder Woman - from her creation as a comic book superhero character to her lasting influence in American pop culture. The play is directed by MTC artistic director Jasson Minadakis and features local actors Lauren English, Jessa Brie Moreno and Liz Sklar, as well John Riedlinger (Minnesota) and Nicholas Rose (Ohio). Based in Mill Valley, MTC is a 47-year old professional nonprofit theater that is a destination for exhilarating performances, inspired new American plays and powerful theatrical experiences.

Over 400 international collectors and prominent figures in art, fashion, beauty and finance flocked to have the first look at an extraordinary survey of four decades of work by famed photographer Robert Farber on Thursday January 30. The show Farberesque: From Pensive to Provocative at 3West57 Project presented by Cavalier Gallery is a fascinating overview of the vast body of work created by the iconic photographer who has influenced scores of the world's leading photographers with his painterly, impressionistic style that allows the viewer to see the subject from a different perspective by creating unique compositions . As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Joan Fontaine, perhaps best known for her role in Alfred Hitchcock's 'Rebecca' and who received an Academy Award for her performance in Hitchcock's 'Suspicion,' died at her home in Carmel, Calif., on Sunday, December 15th at the age of 96. BroadwayWorld remembers the legendary actress below.

Today, we're featuring Nanette Fabray, circa 1980. Fabray began her career performing in vaudeville as a child and became a musical theatre actress during the 1940s and 1950s, winning a Tony Award in 1949 for her performance in Love Life. In the mid-1950s, she served as Sid Caesar's comedic partner on Caesar's Hour, for which she won three Emmy Awards. From 1979 to 1984, she appeared as Grandma Katherine Romano on One Day at a Time.

EVITA will return to L.A. by way of Hollywood Pantages for a limited three week engagement, now through November 10, 2013. Directed by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Michael Grandage and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Rob Ashford, this national touring production comes directly from the first new Broadway revival of the seven-time Tony Award-winning musical, since it debuted on Broadway over 30 years ago. Today, we're featuring Peter Strauss in 1981. Notably, he plays Abel Roznovski in Kane and Abel, the TV miniseries from Jeffrey Archer's book of the same title. He won an Emmy Award for his role on the 1979 made-for-television movie The Jericho Mile, and he starred in a television remake of the classic 1946 film Angel on My Shoulder in 1980. His other noted television miniseries credits include starring roles in Rich Man, Poor Man, its sequel Rich Man, Poor Man Book II, and Masada. Strauss plays Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. in the 1977 TV movie Young Joe, the Forgotten Kennedy.

Today, we're featuring Carl Reiner and his wife Estelle Reiner in 1984. Reiner performed in several Broadway musicals, including Inside U.S.A., and Alive and Kicking, and had the lead role in Call Me Mister. In 1950, he was cast by producer Max Leibman in Sid Caesar's Your Show of Shows, appearing on air in skits while also working alongside writers such as Mel Brooks and Neil Simon. Reiner began his directing career on the Van Dyke show. After that show ended its run, Reiner's first film feature was an adaptation of Joseph Stein's play Enter Laughing (1967), which in turn was based on Reiner's semi-autobiographical 1958 novel of the same name. Probably the best-known films of his early directing career were the cult comedy Where's Poppa? (1970), starring George Segal and Ruth Gordon, Oh, God! (1977) with George Burns and The Jerk (1979) with Steve Martin.

Stephen Sondheim is widely acknowledged as the most innovative, most influential, and most important composer and lyricist in modern Broadway history. He is the winner of an Academy Award, numerous Tony Award, multiple Grammy Awards and a Pulitzer Prize. Some of his other accolades include a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Kennedy Center Honors (1993), the National Medal of Arts (1996), the American Academy of Arts and Letters' Gold Medal for Music (2006) and a special Tony Awardâfor Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre (2008).

Academy and Tony Award-Winning actor and photographer Joel Grey celebrated the release of his new book, titled 1.3 - Images from My Phone, at Barnes at Noble Tribeca (97 Warren St. at Greenwich St.) on Tuesday, May 26 at 7:00 p.m. The book, published by powerHouse, is Grey's third published book of photographs and will be available in stores nationwide June 2.
