Kentwood Players proudly presents Lorraine Hansberry's classic family drama "A RAISIN IN THE SUN" from Friday, January 8 through Saturday, February 13, 2016, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm at the Westchester Playhouse, located at 8301 Hindry Avenue in Westchester, CA 90045. The production is directed by Harold Dershimer. Here's your first look at the cast! The production directed by Harold Dershimer and produced by Kathy Dershimer by special arrangement with Samuel French. Featured in the cast in alphabetical order are Rashod Davenport, Ruth Featherstone, Lawrence Hatcher, Daniel Kruger, Jean Michels, Patricia Newman, Shannon O'Connor, Damon Rutledge, Isaiah Suber, and Charlotte Williams.

Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. Not all news was good though, as we also suffered a loss of an incredible amount of talent. Below, BroadwayWorld sends a fond farewell to those who passed away in 2014.

Five-time Tony winner Audra McDonald will return to the stage as legendary songstress Billie Holliday in a revival of Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill. The show will open at the Circle in the Square Theatre on April 13 for a limited 10-week run. Performances will begin on March 25. The landmark satire CLYBOURNE PARK is simultaneously a prequel, sequel, and modern commentary on the American theatre classic A Raisin in The Sun, spanning fifty years in the history of one much-contested house in a constantly evolving suburb. The show, presented by 710 Main Theatre, produced by Road Less Traveled Productions, and directed by Scott Behrend, will be featured in the Frey Electric Season from tonight, November 8th-December 1st, 2013. Considered by many to be one of the greatest plays of the 20th century, A Raisin in the Sun, Lorraine Hansberry's powerful drama, will open Friday, February 1 (8PM) at Palm Beach Dramaworks' Don & Ann Brown Theatre (201 Clematis Street). The production will play a strictly limited engagement through March 3, with specially priced preview performances on January 30 & 31.
