On Day 26 of 30 Days of Tony, we flashback to the last (and Tony-winning!) revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic musical, Carousel, which is nominated yet again this year for Best Revival of a Musical.

On this day in 2013, a star-studded Broadway cast and the New York Philharmonic presented a staged concert of Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic, Carousel.

On this day in 1994, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II's Carousel opened at Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theatre.

Mezzo-soprano opera star Shirley Verrett passed away today, November 5, in Anne Arbor Michigan from heart related complications. She was 79 years old. In the clip below, Verret sings the beautiful 'You'll Never Walk Alone' from the 1994 Broadway revival of CAROUSEL.
