Historical Romance, 'Rebels of Cordovia' is Released
by BWW News Desk - Jan 18, 2017

There was a time when swashbuckling men and brave women engaged in daring and romantic adventures, those who fought with bravery and valor. These courageous men and women were looked up to because they defended the people. The tales from The Rebel Series have adventure, clean romance, and delectable kisses. 'This creative take on a Robin Hood-like story is charming and touching, and teaches some great morals about agency and choice. It reminded me of childhood fairytales of good versus evil, with a nice romance weaved into it.' - Author Charissa Stastny In The Rebels of Cordovia, a group of men and women who called themselves Robin's Rebels realize they must help the people survive this oppression. In this battle for freedom, a love story begins to blossom. Daniel, a rogue and a leader of the Freemen, does not realize that the sweet feminine woman he has met and is falling for happens to be the leader of Robin's Rebels. Realizing the importance of uniting all the rebel groups, Daniel tries to recruit Robin's Rebels but they refuse. Now he has to find a way to convince them. When he finds out the leader is actually a woman, what will his reaction be? After reading this story, Susan Ortlieb from Suko's Notebook Reviews wrote: 'Once I started reading The Rebels of Cordovia, I greatly looked forward to my time with this book, because the author is a truly terrific storyteller. She brings the characters to life through their mannerisms and conversations with each other. Linda Weaver Clarke writes with passion and grace, and the love story in this book is simply wonderful. In fact, this aspect of the story was the strongest draw for me. (Is it just me, or are love stories set in the past more romantic than those set in the present day?) I thought that Robin and Daniel sounded perfect for each other, and I enjoyed the steady development of their relationship. Suitable for young adults and adults, this charming book was a pleasure to read, and I relished it. The Rebels of Cordovia is another wonderful book by Linda Weaver Clarke!' The Rebel Series are stories of love and liberty that takes place between the 18th and 19th Century. In the sequel, The Highwayman of Cordovia, the people enjoy their new-found liberty but all is not well. One year after Cordovia gains its freedom, a group of powerful men plan to take over the small country and replace the leader with a king. 'This sequel to the Rebels of Cordovia takes a pastor's daughter and mixes her in with a rogue highwayman. The results will surprise you in this continued battle for freedom and justice. This sweet romance had action and intrigue, mysteries to solve, and villains to thwart.' - Author Chrissa Stastny With the help of a bold highwayman and a pastor's daughter, they try to save their country from being taken over by a power-hungry leader. As they strive to stop the Kingmen and thwart their plans, Christine finds herself falling in love with Austin Knight. The only problem with their relationship is that she thinks he is her knight in shining armor instead of a highwayman. If she finds out his trade, what will her reaction be? As a pastor's daughter, will love override her values? 'Christine and Austin's story is truly amazing. When Austin and Christine meet again, the feelings they had as kids is still there. Christine is truly a remarkable person. When Austin starts to protect her, their relationship starts to grow. The characters in this book will have you on the edge of your seat, waiting to see what happens next. God is working throughout this whole book. You won't be able to stop reading it.' - Debbie Jamieson Cindi Clubbs, from Mommasez Reviews, wrote: 'Linda Weaver Clarke has a storyteller's talent for enchanting and mesmerizing the audience. There are also some exciting surprises and twists that will delight the heart. Definitely a must read!' About the Author Linda Weaver Clarke has traveled throughout the United States, teaching people to write their family history. She is the author of historical romances, mystery/adventure series, a children's book, and a cozy mystery series. All her books are family friendly. Read sample chapters at http://www.lindaweaverclarke.com. (more...)

Fiola Faelan Promotes Contemporary Romance Novel, 'Holiday Hearts Awakening'
by BWW News Desk - Dec 12, 2016

The last thing Natalie needs in her life is a handsome-as-sin single father living right next door. What she wants to do is shun the world and embrace her broken heart. She regrets snapping at his little girl over something as silly as Christmas lights, but nothing in the world will change her mind about taking part in holiday hoopla or letting a cherub, or her sexy father, into her life. Zach's decision to ignore his snarky, smoking-hot new neighbor is an easy one, even if he feels a tug of regret he won't get to know her better. He wants nothing to do with a woman who would snap at his little girl over something as trivial as decorating for the holiday. Neither are prepared for hearts tripping and emotional barriers falling when Zach snatches her from the flames engulfing her home and ends up tucking her into his spare bedroom. Little does he know his ability to play nothing more than caretaker until she's back on her feet is nothing more than smoke and mirrors. Will holiday hearts awaken to passion and new love, or will Zach and Natalie let this chance at new love pass them by? Book Details: Holiday Hearts Awakening By Fiola Faelan Publisher: Quicksilver Garou ISBN: 978-0986327308 ASIN: B00QPCN4B4 Page: 101 Genre: Contemporary Romance About the Author: Fiola has always loved to read and cut her teeth on page-turners such as The Forest of Mystery, Robin Hood and Nancy Drew. She grew up a devout tomboy, playing with cowgirl action figures, and getting into mischief back when Silicon Valley wasn't even a gleam in San Jose's eyes. She loves to live life to its fullest, from riding hell-bent-for-leather on her Appaloosa in gymkhanas to surf-fishing in Hawaii, jumping boulders on the breakwater in Morro Bay to walking barefoot on the beach and dreaming of romance. Many of her story ideas were found during her travels far and wide, from Corpus Christi TX, where her ancestors are buried in the Pioneer Cemetery to Pendleton OR. From Tucson AZ to Seattle WA to Vancouver BC. She's always on the lookout for that next story, that next place to bury the body. Or lock-lips with a hot guy. She lives in beautiful but weird Portland, Oregon with her amazingly talented son and daughter-in-law and their most affectionate cat Nudge.
