Compagnia de' Colombari, an international collective of performing artists founded and directed by Karin Coonrod, presents More Or Less I Am: a music-theater piece drawn entirely from Walt Whitman's revolutionary free verse long poem, 'Song of Myself,'one of the original twelve pieces that comprise his 1855 collection Leaves of Grass. The next performance in this series, spanning multiple venues throughout the five boroughs, will take place on Sunday, May 26, 2019, 7:30 pm at Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn.

Florencia Lozano (Tea Delgado on One Life To Live and currently featured as Claudia Messina on Narcos) and Dea Julian (Stet, The Blueprint Specials, Queen Mair) have been cast in a staged reading of BARABBAS, a play by Matthew J. Wells on Monday March 6, 7pm at the Bernie Wohl Center.

With construction now complete on their state-of-the-art scene shop and several new design/technology classrooms, the Kean University Department of Theatre has announced an ambitious season for the coming academic year. The 2015-2016 Department of Theatre season, slated to begin tonight, October 16th, will include the Greek tragedy Elektra; Children of Eden, a musical based on the first nine chapters of the Book of Genesis; Julius Caesar, Shakespeare's timeless political expose; and John J. Wooten's riotous farce, Kiss the Bride.
